New nursery for Waterstone College

A development to benefit little ones underway in Kibler Park

ALBERTON – Waterstone Castle, a new nursery school, is being developed at Waterstone College in Kibler Park.

The nursery aims to be a one-stop-shop where children can start their nursery schooling and complete their high school at one educational facility. According to the school, the development of the nursery should be completed by January 2016.

“According to the Curro philosophy, every child is regarded as a competent learner from birth. Curro knows that children develop and learn in different ways and at different paces. All areas of development and learning are equally important and interconnected,” said Vernon Rorich, the executive head of Waterstone College.

The number of children per class will vary from 15 to 25 depending on the age group and classes will be divided into the baby section in group’s of three months to 12 months, 12 months to 18 months and two other groups of older children up to the age of 30 months. There will also be a section for young children between the ages of 30 months to five years.

Waterstone College, one of only four Curro select schools, was bought out by Curro Holdings in June 2014 who offered financial support for further development.
