Stoneridge feeding scheme receives food donations

Stoneridge Primary School received a donation of tinned and non-perishable foods for the school’s feeding scheme.

EDEN PARK – Jerseys4Jozi and Black-Mix Communications paid a visit to the school on Thursday, July 30, to deliver the donation.

The collection of tinned food was inspired by Edna Kauyla Peterson (10), a grade five learner, who was tasked with raising funds for the feeding scheme and the erection of a steel structure which will eventually become the school hall.

“Our aim was to collect 670 tins for Mandela Day to donate to the Johannesburg Children’s Home, Immaculata Shelter and the Stoneridge Primary School in Eden Park,” said Manisha Black, CEO of Black-Mix Communications.
