ALBERTON – The International Model and Talent Convention (IMTC) held in New York, from July 20-24, was an adventure for the South African group from Figures Models and Talent.

The Figures Models and Talent SA group participated in modelling, singing, dancing and acting competitions and competed against international talent representatives from the United States of America, Japan, Finland, Australia, Canada, Britain and many more nations.

According to Figures representative, Emma Griffin, the young talents conducted themselves professionally and looked stunning both on and off the stage. Many new friends and talent industry contacts were made which will hopefully be the beginning of a whole new chapter in their lives.

The Figures SA group reaped great awards and achievements which included several modelling contracts with IMG and Wilhelmina and acting auditions for parts in an American movie being filmed next year. Talented youngsters from Figures SA received several top 10 placement medals, placed third in the solo dancing and won the model actor of the year accolade.

The group also placed fourth in the team fashion competition and won the group singing division whilst two students received scholarships from the New York Film Academy and the New York Film Conservatory for Dramatic Arts.

“We at Figures SA are very proud of our youngsters for giving their best, having a blast and achieving so much during their week long convention. We wish them all the best in their future endeavours and hope that their individual careers will be just as bright as they are,” Emma stated.
