EMPD officer holds gun against woman’s head

A woman cried to her mother at a Kempton Park Police Station after an EMPD officer held a gun to her head.

KEMPTON PARK – A hysterical mother from Kempton Park waited an hour at Kempton Park Police Station on Monday morning, after she had receivedĀ a phone call from her traumatised daughter who was arrested and allegedly assaulted by EMPD officers at a roadblock close to Boundary Silk Bazaar, the Kempton EXPRESS reported.

The daughter and her friend were on their way to Pretoria when they were pulled over for alleged speeding.

ā€œMy daughter phoned me hysterically and said she was in the police van with her friend and they held a gun to her head, hit her and threw her and her friend in the police van. She told me to wait at the police station.

“It took me 10 minutes to get there from Bonaero Park. It took them an hour to get to the police station from Boundary,ā€ said an upset Jeanette Price.

EXPRESS was on the scene when the two girls arrived with five EMPD officers shoving them into the police station. One of the girls started crying when she saw her mother and screamed ‘they held a gun against my head’.

Price asked one of the officers why her daughter was arrested and a fight broke out when one of the female officers assaulted Price by hitting her in the face. Before Kempton Expressā€™ journalist could take photographs, her camera was taken and locked away. It was later given back.

Another man was apparently also arrested for allegedly interfering by taking a video of the incident.
