Nowhere to go for early morning burglars

Two house robbers have chosen the wrong time to do their business this morning.

NEW REDRUTH – Two attempted house burglary suspects have been arrested in the early hours of the morning 20 July.

Willem Voort, a spokesperson for the armed response company Fox Security said their reaction officer, Neville Badenhorst arrested one of the suspects on the corner of Bodmin Road and Fore Street in New Redruth at 12.45am and CPS confirmed that they arrested the other suspect two properties away from the attempted house burglary.

He said the arrest followed an attempted house burglary and that the suspects used a White Toyota Quantum as their get-away vehicle.

“This vehicle was found and the driver was also arrested,” he said.

The Alberton police have also been on the scene and will be investigating the case.
