BRACKENHURST – It’s just been reported a woman near Jackson Dam was shot by a hijacker and has died on the scene.
The woman is believed to have been shot in the head.
The details of the incident are still sketchy at this stage, the reporter is at the scene finding out more information.
It is believed the woman was on here way from the bank, pulling into her driveway when a car pulled up before she was shot through the driver’s window.
According to the details available at the moment, there was one woman in the car, it is believed that this could be an attempted hijack.
Protective Force, a security company in the area confirmed that they will be assigning a guard in front of the house. The company believes it was in fact a hijacking but the car was not taken.
According to residents, the incident took place at Jackson Street, and not necessarily at the dam.
The woman has two children, and the family has been notified.
