ALBERTON – Louise Kinnear launched her book, Tears of a Child, at the Alberton Library on Saturday, July 4.
The launch of the self-published manuscript was well attended by friends and family of the author as well as members of the public.
The book is based on the author’s own childhood struggles.“It was the hardest thing I have ever done. It wasn’t easy but it was worth it.”
Louise read an excerpt from a chapter in her book entitled, Dirty Washing, which describes her witnessing abuse within her family. The author believes that the book does not aim to pinpoint problems with parents but rather offers a glimpse into the mind of a child whose parents are concerned with their own problems.
