Early morning burglary

Her dogs' non-stop barking alerted a resident in Eden Park and, upon investigation, she saw a man jumping over her neighbour's fence in the early hours of Monday, June 29.

ALBERTON – “I heard my dogs barking non-stop and at first I thought it was at people passing by. But when their barking became vicious I decided to go and look to see what was going on. That is when I saw the man jumping over the fence.

“The thief had broken the boards at the back of the zozo and I recognised him as a young man living in Saab Street. I called some of our neighbours and we went to a hide-out where he is often seen. We found clothing and CDs from the shack in Rover Street and the shack’s owner, Angeline Wyngaart was able to positively identify the items.”

Angeline alleged that somebody saw the thief selling clothing between Eden Park and Palmridge.

Police are investigating the theft.
