Youth business melting pot

Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality is hosting a cook out to allow young business people to display their culinary skills and network.

ALBERTON – The Ekurhuleni Metropolitan Municipality (EMM) is attempting to stimulate youth entrepreneurship and township economic development through the Youth in Business programme.

A networking session is scheduled to take place on Sunday, July 28, at 11:00, at Bulithando Park in KwaThema.

Young people from Ekurhuleni are invited to brave the cold and dress to the theme of “Trench-coats, hats and scarves”, and feast on dishes sold at the first Ekurhuleni Sunday Cook-Out session.

The session will serve as a platform for youth in business to showcase and sell their products and services directly to an audience of no less than 400 customers.

On stage, house music DJs such as DJ Clock, DJ and radio jock Lerato Kganyago, DJ Corny, DJ Cookie, and DJ Shluda TheGuru will be in action and entertaining the crowd with the latest music, poetry and live band performances.

People are allowed to bring in their cooler boxes, however no bottles are allowed and entrance at the gate is R40.00 per person.
