Figures raises funds for aspiring models

The past six weeks have been very busy for the organisers of a fund-raiser for Figures Models and Talent.

ALBERTON – The fund-raiser was held for three aspiring models, namely Danielle Muller, Jacques Grabe and Tieghan Griffin-Coetzer, in order for them to attend this year’s International Model and Talent Association conference in New York, USA.

It eventually all came together on Friday night, May 15, at the Cresta Barnyard Theatre, where the guests were treated to a show called 99 Hits.

“The Barnyard atmosphere was funky, fun and fabulous. Everyone had a great time reliving past musical hits and singing along to the present day hits as well,” said Emma Griffen, Figures spokesperson and one of the organisers of the fund-raiser.

“An auction was held during the interval and the bidding was energetic and friendly. There was something for everyone to bid on. We would like to take this opportunity to thank everyone who assisted by selling tickets and promoting the fund-raiser via word of mouth or social media. Without you, the event would not have been such a success.”
