Kim Williams inspires Charities for Change

Kim Williams inspired all the Charities for Change members who attended the monthly networking meeting on May 20 at Lé Joie café.

ALBERTON- Sharing some of the stories which fills her life with adventure, Kim Williams was a true inspiration to those who recently attended Charities for Change’s monthly networking meeting at Lé Joie Café.

Kim heads up the paramedics and firefighters in Hillbrow and is the founding member of Team Zodwa.

The team organise adventure activities, and through sponsorship of these events, raise money for projects aimed at ending hunger.

Kim is also the spokesperson for Meals on Wheels, and in the aftermath of the Nepal earthquake, she accompanied a South African team of medical specialists to the country to assist the people in need.

Various charity organisations were represented at the networking meeting.

Alta McMaster from Epic Foundation, who is also the chairman of Charities for Change, asked everyone to participate in something akin to speed dating, but speed networking.

The participants made two lines, and with one line rotating, everyone had the opportunity to speak to other charity representatives.

After the meet and greet, everyone enjoyed a light breakfast and continued networking and getting to know one another better.

As a token of gratitude, Marihet Infantino from AMCARE, presented Alta with a bright and cheerful Blessing Blanket with her name embroidered on it.
