Ward committee vacancies for Ward 94
Councilor Michael Basch invites all organised formations, interested groups and sectors to nominate and register for the filling of vacancies for the ward committee of Ward 94.
ALBERTON – The sector currently has two vacancies: one for education and the second for youth. Elections will take place on June 10, at 18:30, in the council chambers located on the fourth floor of the Alberton Town Council, Alwyn Taaljaard Avenue, New Redruth.
Nominations open on May 27, at 08:00, and close on June 8, at 16:30. Forms are available in the reception area and on the third floor of the Alberton Civic Centre.
Nominees need to be 18 years or older, must be a South African citizen, be on the voter’s roll in Ekurhuleni. A non-resident of the ward, but who is registered on the voter’s roll, may be nominated by a sector, should that person be able to demonstrate in writing, that he or she has an interest in that specific ward.
