ALBERTON – According to a press release from Netcare 911, the exact details surrounding the cause of the accident and the preceding events are still unclear and will remain subject to an investigation.
Paramedics arrived on the scene were the cyclist was lying on the road. According to information provided by paramedics the cyclist was knocked over by a car.
The cyclist (43) was assessed by paramedics and they found that he sustained serious injuries. He was treated and transported to a nearby hospital.
He was transported under the care of an advance life support paramedic to ensure he receives the medical care he required.
Occupants from the car were not injured during the accident.
