The decision came after the debate of the State of the City Address at council.
“Yesterday we delivered the State of the City Address. One of the key elements of this address was accelerating service delivery towards the end of the term for the current term of local government office in 2016.
“We gave a full report of how we have done since we took office in May 2011. However, in an effort to optimise service delivery, we must continuously assess our performance so that the necessary interventions can be made. Every healthy organisation must reflect on its performance on a regular basis to determine if the machinery remains relevant to the course,” Gungubele explained.
“While we are happy with the progress made thus far, we believe that with some reconfiguration we can do more.”
