ALBERTON – The annual Shavathon will take place on Saturday February 28, at the Alberton Cricket and Hockey Club, located on the corner of Second Avenue and Helston Road, Florentia.
You can come and shave or spray your hair from 9:00 until 16:00. The cost is R50 for adults and R25 for children under 12.
You can also book a Flea Market stall, available for R100 per stall. Stall holders will have to bring their own tables, chairs and shade. They do have restrictions on food and drinks and ask stall holders to give 10 per cent of their profits back to Cansa at the end of the day, but this is not compulsory.
If you are busy on Saturday you will also have the opportunity to shave or spray your hair, while you watch a game of cricket at the club. There will be no stalls on Sunday, because there is a cricket match.
There is still a need for volunteers to help with shaving and spraying on Saturday and Sunday.
