EDEN PARK – A matric learner passed away after an accident on school grounds at Eden Park Secondary school in Eden Park.
The cause of the pupil’s death is still unknown. Paramedics declared Lerato Malekutu dead when they arrived at the school.
Allegedly Lerato fell after her chair was pulled out from underneath her. This was not the information that was shared with her family. According to an article a family member was told that she fell.
Police have opened an inquest into the events that lead to the passing of the matric learner.
