The road ahead for Desiree

Alberton is the home of a newly crowned Mrs United Nations South Africa 2015. Desiree Oliphant’s journey as Mrs UN SA took her to Alberton School a week after school started.

ALBERTON – This was just enough time for scholars to settle in for the new school year.

The visit to schools served two purposes, the first was as part of a celebration for the crown now residing in Alberton, and the second was to thank her supporters.

Desiree worked closely with the youth of our community in her campaign prior to the crowning ceremony.

She took some time out of her busy schedule to express her gratitude, not only to the schools but to all her sponsors and her partners.

Desiree also has a new challenge ahead; she will be taking part in the road to the international title: Mrs United Nations International.

“Together as a community we were able to secure our place on the map,” the newly crowned queen said.

Desiree is also appealing to the community and authorities to join forces with her. “Join me, as queen, and let us make our mark as a country on the world stage,” she added passionately.

Desiree can be contacted via email, dezzy.oliphant@gmail.com or follow her on twitter, Facebook and Instagram.
