Business bowls league
Hurry along and get your business team entered for the annual Alberton Bowling Club's Business Bowls League commencing on the first Wednesday in February.
ALBERTON – Not only is this an ideal opportunity for companies to do some team building, but it also serves as a fundraiser for the bowls club.
Companies are invited to enter teams of four to compete for the floating trophy. No previous bowling experience or special clothing is required. In fact, this is a fun competition specifically aimed at non-players.
Each team will be allocated an experienced bowler to assist them with the basics of the game, as well as acting as the liaison person. Bowls will also be supplied.
All you are required to do is enter one or even more teams of four, and remember, only 24 teams can be accommodated so it will be a matter of first come, first served.
The league will be hosted at the club in Second Avenue, Florentia and an entry fee of R800 per team is payable. You may have as many as six people in a team should your players not be able to attend every week.
Dates for the competition are February 4, 11, 18 and the finals on February 25.
