VILLA Montessori School in Winnipeg Street, Alberante launched a new primary school in January.
The principal Lee Jorge and vice principal Kerryn Pansegrauw are very excited about the latest development.
The school opened in 1999 with classes catering for one- to six-year-old children. Currently the school has four groups of children; a group for one- to three-year-olds, two groups for three- to six-year-olds and one group for six to nine-year-old children.
The school boasts many extramural activities and during the RECORD’s visit the Tots in Teams were busy with fun physical activities with the children.
The school uses a combination of the Montessori and the CAPS curriculum, which incorporates formal assessment.
