Giving back brings returns

The Southgate swop shop will give shoppers the opportunity to earn Mystery Moola as they donate new and used school supplies to learners that cannot afford the necessary items.

From January 16 to February 1, 2015, Southgate Mall, owned and managed by Pareto Limited, will host the swop shop for the 60 children of Orlando Children’s Home in Orlando East, Soweto.

Contributors will receive Mystery Moola scratch cards based on the value of their donation, where they stand to win their share of R10 000 at the Back-to-School swop shop at the Foschini Court, on the upper level at Southgate Mall.

“A good educational foundation remains central to a child’s success in life, says Nozipho Khumalo, Marketing Manager for Southgate Mall. “The school supply drive is one small but important way we get to assist learners to start the school year off with the resources they need for the best chance at success.”

Parents and children embarking on their annual school supply shopping can also pop into the stand with their slips for school supplies purchased from Checkers, Shoprite, CNA, Edgars, Game, Jet Mart, PEP or Pick ‘n Pay to the value of R250 or more, for a chance to win more back to school goodies.

The swop shop will run daily from 09:00 during mall hours; Monday to Thursday and Saturdays until 06:00 PM, Fridays until 07:00 and Sundays until 04:00.
