SAPS warning of fake police hijackers
Residents beware of fake JMPD officer and accomplices hijacking residents on N12.
Mondeor SAPS Alert – Residents using Klipriver Drive between N12 interchange and Swartkoppies Drive to be on alert for hijackings, especially after dark.
This follows two hijackings over the weekend on Klipriver Drive involving a white VW Polo motor vehicle posing as JMPD officers pulling vehicles off the road with a flashing blue light who proceed to hijack victims on the side of the road.
The vehicle is occupied by four/ five African males one of which has a full JMPD uniform. Residents are advised to drive to their nearest police station or secure location on contact.
The first hijacking occurred Friday night near Swartkoppies Drive and the second Saturday night between Bellairs Drive and Jordi Road (Panorama Shopping Centre) both at approximately 20:00. Residents are to immediately contact the Mondeor SAPS Sector 1 patrol vehicles 0716757327 or 10111 if spotted.
