Lion of Alberton case postponed

Kingpin in drug circles in Alberton North appears in court today.

ALBERTON NORTH – Philip Nsofor (aka the Lion of Alberton and also known as Stranger) will see another day in court before sentencing.

The kingpin in drug circles in Alberton North is the first individual in South Africa found guilty on charges of racketeering. Other charges on which he was found guilty include participating in an enterprise, managing an enterprise, dealing in drugs and contradiction of the Immigration Act 13 of 2002.

Nsofor appeared in court again on November 19, but the case was again postponed due to the fact that the report of Social Services, regarding the care and placement of Nsofor’s child, was still incomplete.
