ALBERTON – Three people were killed and two others critically injured early this morning when a vehicle rolled several times on the N12 near the R59 in Alberton.
Shortly before midnight, paramedics arrived on scene and found a badly damaged vehicle in the fast lane of the road.
On closer inspection, paramedics discovered the lifeless bodies of two women and one man. Unfortunately all three victims had succumbed to their severe injuries.
Two other persons lay trapped inside the light motor vehicle in a critical condition. Emergency services had to use the jaws-of-life equipment to free the patients from the light motor vehicle.
Once freed, both patients were transported under advanced life support to Baragwanah Hospital. Local authorities were on scene for more investigations.
