Shouting for more: A great line-up will have you on your feet dancing the weekend away

Alberton Day and Music Festival is spread over three days, and will take place between December 5 and 7.

ALBERTON – This event is aimed at involving the entire community in the weekend’s activities. The event will have food stalls, flea and crafters market stands, motor shows and a theme park and beer gardens.

Entertainment will start on the Friday with a rock show and DJs who will take festival-goers into the early hours of the morning.

Saturday caters for both young and old. Some of South Africa’s best musicians will be performing live at the big stage arena.

The weekend will end on the Sunday with an ox braai and a laid-back afternoon.

Some of the musicians who are scheduled to perform over the weekend are The Parlotones, Prime Circle, Gerhard Steyn, Karlien van Jaarsveld, Theuns Jordaan, Liani May, Die Campbell’s, LCNVL, Gangs of Ballet and Kurt Darren.

Apart from a brilliant line-up of artists who will have you on your feet shouting for more, the day also includes fun activities for the children with kiddies rides and carnival games, skydivers, flea market stalls, food stalls, a beer tent and loads more. Businesses, individuals, churches, schools and interested parties are invited to become part of the weekend event.

Anyone can apply for a stall or stand to promote your business, sell your products or services.

Tickets will be sold at the Aberton Rugby Club and online.

Day tickets will be available at R150 for adults and R75 for children, while a weekend ticket for all three days will be sold at a discounted rate of R350 and R200 for children. Kids under 13 will pay half price.

There are also VIP tickets available at R500 per day or R1 000 for the weekend. These will ensure seating under the lapa, snacks, free parking and access to the backstage and an opportunity to meet the artists. Note: VIP tickets do not include drink – a cash bar is available.
