The Truck of Love ready to hit the road

Nominate individuals, organisations or charities making a positive difference in the lives of others.

JOHANNESBURG -The 947 and 702 Truck of Love with Standard Bank is ready to hit the streets of Gauteng to make dreams come true this festive season.

Now in its second year, the Truck of Love is back and eager to be filled with things people need most in a bid to help those individuals or organisations already making a positive contribution to society.

This campaign is about helping people in genuine need. With the assistance of 947 and 702, Standard Bank is en-route to making meaningful changes in communities.

“Standard Bank wants to do all we can to support organisations that make a real difference to people’s lives, and hopes that others will feel inspired to contribute in any way they can to help people in desperate needs,” said Standard Bank Group Brand Director Nikki Twomey.

The 947 Truck of Love will be heading out with afternoon drive host Anele Mdoda, who is specifically looking for individuals who are selflessly doing great things for others.

The 702 and Standard Bank Truck of Love will be taking various presenters out on the road to bring goodies to organisations that are impacting on their communities.

Listeners are encouraged to nominate individuals, organisations or charities making a positive difference in the lives of others.

Earlier this year in June 2014, the charities nominated by listeners included Ephraim Zulu Senior Centre in Soweto, Yenzani Children’s Home in Midrand, Bona Lesedi Project in Diepsloot and Compass in Edenvale, which received a variety of goods, gifts and essentials.

These inspiring stories are testament to the many remarkable South Africans who genuinely care about those in need.

Look out for the Truck of Love from Monday December 8 to Friday December 12, nominations will run online for two weeks from Monday November 24 to Friday December 5.

Listen to 947 during the afternoon show with Anele or 702 all day to find out how you can participate in supporting those that do good in communities.
