Christmas Day food hampers

It is that time of the year again where the CMR Alberton starts it drive for the Christmas Day food hampers for underprivileged families.

ALBERTON – For the majority of Albertonians, Christmas and fine dining are synonymous. Families plan months in advance what they will eat, but in many households Christmas is just another day in the eternal struggle to put a decent plate of food on the table.

This year, CMR wants to make Christmas a time of care and outreach. There is a saying that every little drop counts. Everyone can contribute something small to make a big difference.

How can I make a difference this Christmas? With canned food, a packet of biscuits, a packet of sweets – anything that you take for granted or don’t think twice about as something being the norm in your household, or a cash donations will be most welcome.

If you would like to make a donation please contact Ankia at 011 907 2922.
