Meyiwa suspects’ identikit spreads like wildfire

The nation has come together in efforts to help the SAPS bring to book the suspects who were involved in the fatal shooting of Bafana Bafana Captain, Senzo Meyiwa.

JOHANNESBURG – The identikit of two suspects involved in the shooting and killing of Senzo Meyiwa (27) is spreading on social media accounts around the country like wildfire.

Head of Crime Line and Director of Crime Stoppers International, Yusuf Abramjee, tweeted on October 28: ā€œSomeone, somewhere, somehow knows something. Bring these killers to book!ā€

Meanwhile Gauteng SAPS spokesperson Brigadier Neville Malila has reported that no arrests had been made as yet.

However, a reward of R250 000 has been offered by the SAPS for information leading to the successful arrest and conviction of the suspects.

Twitter has been abuzz with tweets and retweets of the suspects’ identikit with many demanding the arrest of the suspects.

Both Twitter posts have each been retweeted over 425 and 480 times since the release of the kits.

ā€˜They can run but they canā€™t hideā€™ tweeted an @SAPoliceService Twitter follower.

This tweet followed a post by @SAPoliceService of an identikit image detailing the outstanding features of Suspect A and Suspect B.

Some of the comments by people who retweeted the identikit:

ā€œPeople must come forward and tell the police if they see this guy.ā€

ā€œRIP #SenzoMeyiwa Heavens got U @sapoliceservice these guys deserve a DEATH Sentence for other thieves to LEARN.ā€

ā€œ@SAPoliceService their mothers and fathers are hiding them! Bloody cowards!ā€
