Teacher needs your help
A well known educator in Alberton, Mr Kevin Mostert from Brackenhurst Primary, is fighting for his life, but he is certainly not fighting on his own.
ALBERTON – Mr Mostert needs a life-saving kidney transplant. He has a donor but his medical aid only covers two thirds of the costs involved, and he still needs R150 000 to cover the remaining medical costs.
Colleagues at Brackenhurst Primary, where he has taught for many years, have come together to host a benefit concert on Saturday November 1.
A Night at the Opera starring one of South Africa’s best tenors, Dewald Von Solms, will take place on November 1 at the school, on the corner of Begonia and Jasmine streets in Brackenhurst.
Tickets cost R100 for adults and R80 for primary school scholars from grade 3 to 7.
There is free babysitting for children aged two to eight and refreshments will be on sale. The concert begins at 18:45 and dress is smart. Tickets are available from the school between 08:00 and 14:00 daily.
