His love for guns
During his trial it was revealed that Pistorius had a love for firearms. In 2013 a South African gun collectors’ club official, where Pistorius was a member, revealed to a number of media houses how he steadily became an avid collector of firearms during his Olympic year.
Crying and vomiting in court
Pistorius cried and retched a number of times during the trial. The one event that made headlines is when he broke down after being shown Reeva Steenkamp’s bloodied head by state prosecutor Gerrie Nel in court.
He has a spiritual side
On July 15 Pistorius took to Twitter and showed the world his spiritual side by tweeting the following:

Since the trial started Pistorius has sold three of his houses.
The house where Reeva Steenkamp was shot was sold at R4.5m to a Boksburg resident. His other Pretoria based homes were both sold at about R1m each.
