Pampering little divas for Women’s month

Mr SA and Mrs UN SA finalist visits Bennie Boekwurm Nursery Schools to give back to the community.

ALBERTON – Desiree Oliphant is a finalist for the Mrs UN SA pageant and Johan Herbst is a finalist for Mr SA.

“As I descended onto the premises at Bennie Boekwurm Nursery school in my glittery dress, I had two things in mind. Firstly to engage the little ones, three- to six-year-olds, about the importance of safety first and the importance of the police, and secondly the pep talk by Akeso’s qualified psychologist about bullying,” Desiree explained the reason for their visit.

“SAPS Brackendowns Police Warden Officer Khimalo did a powerful blue light siren demonstration. Though the toddlers were a little scared at first, they totally loved and enjoyed it,” she added.

Children also received toys sponsored by ToysForAfrica.

“Another surprise element for me was that Johan Herbst, Mr SA finalist, also agreed to pop in to join me in making this day special for the kids in our community,” she says.

Desiree and Johan will do many more collaborations in aid of the community.

Infinity Nails and Beauty Parlour were also part of the special day for the Nursery School, who pampered girls with hand massages.

Desiree would like to thank Anina Burger at Missteeq Evening and Bridal wear for her contribution in our community and as her official sponsor.

“To all the women of Alberton and the world at large, we wish you a Happy Women’s month,” Desiree Oliphant and Johan Herbst said.
