ACCORDING to reports by ER24 a 28-year-old man was critically injured in a three-vehicle collision on Swartkoppies Road at around midnight on August 8.
ER24 emergency team including the provincial and private sectors had attended to the scene.
The ER24 necessary officials arrived to extricate and treat the man. He sustained multiple suspected fractures during the collision.
After the extrication, the patient was transported to the Chris Hani Baragwanath Hospital for urgent medical treatment.
“He was stable on the scene and the last time we interacted with him was in the hospital where he was handed over,” said Luyanda Majija from ER24.
According to the EMPD the accident occurred on Swartkoppies Road by the R59 on top of the bridge in the early hours of the morning.
It involved three motor vehicles namely a VW Golf, Peugeot and a Mazda.
