Mandela Day celebration in Brackendowns

MANDELA Day was celebrated on July 18 at Optim-ed learning Centre in Bamboes Street.

Those who participated were employees from SAPS Brackendowns, CPF, FOX, Engen garage, Brackenhurst, Deisree Oliphant, Finalist for Mrs UN SA South Africa, school staff and other members.

Sergeant Moloi was introduced by Katie Jele of SAPS. She spoke to the children about crime prevention at home, warning that if someone rings the door bell, they must not answer without consulting their parents/guardians.

She also informed them that if they were in any kind of danger, they should contact 10111.

Willem Foord from FOX security dressed up as Santa Clause as a surprise and together with Desiree and the others, handed out gifts to the children.
