Alberton’s Lions club touches lives

Alberton Lions Club focuses on making a difference

JULY 5 saw the induction of the new president for the Alberton Lions Club as Lindy Strydom took over the reigns from past President Mario Beukes.

Lion Presidents Lindy’s theme for the next year is “Partnering to make a Difference” and she believes that it is time for businesses, friends, family, neighbours and the people of Alberton to stand together and make an impact on the lives of the less fortunate in our local community, be it with the elderly people, children or animals.

The three key focus areas for this year will be growing the club, educating the community about the service done through the club and ensuring that a difference is made and somebody’s life is touched.

Alberton Lions Club belongs to the world’s largest service organisation, and Lions International hosts more than 135 million members that focus with pride and with the same goal in mind and that is to serve their community.

They are always looking for members to lend a helping hand, join to help touch a life today and change your own at the same time. For more information; Lion President Lindy can be reached via email albertonlionsclub@vodamail.co.za
