OK Grocer shopping and convenience store officially opened its doors on June 26 in Mayberry Park and The RECORD had the privilege of asking the owners a few questions:
What was the idea or need behind having a store in Mayberry Park at this location?
Based on our business planning and feasibility, it was clear that the community in the surrounding area was in need of a convenience store.
What products will the store offer and will it differ in any way from the other stores?
Our store is strictly Halaal, which means no pork products will be sold.
Who are the people behind bringing this shopping experience to the public?
Of course, the OK Brand name and us, the owners, the community can count on.
Are there any specials things or products people should look out for?
Yes, our deli fast food, and our famous AK roll and also some spicy curries.
Festivities were held on June 28 at the Mayberry Park Centre in the parking lot as a weekend celebration for the official opening.
