Giving comfort in times of sorrow

Bereavemnet affects people in different ways. There's no right or wrong way to feel. So says Dr. Elta Boshard, a trauma and creative grief practitioner.

ALBERTON – Dr. Elta Boshard will facilitate the Creative Change and Grief Club, an initiative of Stepping Stone Hospice & Care Services in New Market Park.

The Club will meet every Tuesday from 09:00 to 11:00 at the chapel on the premises of the AMCARE Centre of Faith, Hope & Love in New Market Park, 15 Heidelberg Road, corner of Ascot Road.

Some of the topics for discussion will include:

· Initiating change: When someone we love dies.

· Restraining change: When grief makes us vulnerable.

· Help in change: 61 tips on the experience of grief and how to help people through it.

· Time changes: The empty nest syndrome and other rites of passage.

· Destined to change: When dreams die.

· Changing the bad into betterment: When we lose our health.
