An update from the Mr SA competition

The Mr South Africa’s theme for this year is ‘Men of Honour’, which seeks to outline the most crucial characteristics found in a man. This initiative wants to assist men in accepting a lifestyle and duty to positively influence the life of others.

ALBERTON: ‘Men of honour’ is a philosophy that permeates through every thought and every word. Men of Honour highlight their commitments and carry out all their duties with integrity, they seek company that share the same goals and visions, they condemn any inappropriate behaviour, they are accountable for their actions, they respect the rights of others, fight for human dignity and stand up for social justice and appreciate the environment.

During the Mr South Africa competition, the contestants have different challenges they have to complete. Sponsorship challenges, promotion challenges, social media challenges, charity and the SMS challenge to generate votes.

The latest results of the SMS campaign showed that Johann Herbst, from Alberton, is in the second position.

Johann has decided to take on a blanket drive as part of his charity challenge for the next month and is calling on Alberton residents to help fight the cold and donate blankets that will be distributed to the less fortunate. If you want more information or want to know how to get involved with the blanket drive you can contact Johann on 071 356 0220.
