Woman had attack in taxi

A concerned taxi driver and two passengers helped a woman who suffered from an Angina attack.

ON May 12 at around 12:00, a Muslim woman of 65 years who wants to remain anonymous had an angina (heart) attack during a taxi ride home.

She was on her way home from Alberton City when she started feeling strange, almost flustered, and she told the other passengers how she felt.

She requested that a passenger give her some air and a window was opened.

The woman then began experiencing a sinking feeling. The taxi driver could sense the urgency and tried to get her home quickly to Randhart.

On arrival, she tried to get out of the taxi, but she collapsed and two ladies from the taxi assisted her and took her into her home. They gave her some water, medication and assured her she would be okay.

From what the woman can remember, paramedics came and she was stabilised and recovered on May 15.

“A big thank you to the concerned taxi driver and to the women who assisted me,” she said.
