School transport puts children at risk
A minibus transporting school children skipped a red light and caused an accident.
RACEVIEW – A traffic accident occurred early this morning at the corner of Voortrekker Street and Padstow Street, where a Volkswagen Microbus taxi and a Mazda Etude were involved.
According to witnesses the taxi skipped the orange light and crashed into the Mazda. The Mazda was already busy turning right on to Padstow when the taxi skipped the robot and hit both the Mazda and a pedestrian. The taxi was a means of transport for school children.
At this stage it is unknown if anyone had been injured and to what extent. We will keep the readers up to date with any new information.
