A Mazda Sedan hit a traffic light after a Polo Vivo smashed into it

A CAR accident occured on Ring Road East at around 13:00 on May 13 involving a Polo Vivo which collided with a Mazda Sedan.

Justine Stols told the RECORD on May 14 that she was driving on Ring Road East, passed the green traffic light and out of nowhere a gold Polo Vivo Sedan smashed into her vehicle in the left rear. Her car spun around, hit the traffic light and faced oncoming traffic.

Justine got out of her vehichle and stood in shock.

According to Justine, the driver told her that he was being chased by someone in a GTI.

Lawrence Chauke, the Polo Vivo driver, explained that he was coming from Alberton City towards Alberton North, the side at Ring Road. When he approached the robot, he noticed a Golf 5 quite close to his vehichle.

The Golf was too close to his vehicle and Lawrence thought the vehicle was going to bump into his, so he attempted to drive on but bumped directly into Justine’s vehichle.

Lawrence said, “The golf vehicle just disappeared.”

A case was opened at Alberton SAPS according to Justine and Sergeant Nkuna of Alberton SAPS, who explained that any type of accident resulting in no injuries is dealt with via the Metro.

Justine’s car was written off.
