He was stabbed to death and robbed of his belongings.

EDEN PARK – A 57-year-old man was stabbed to death on the dangerous footpath running from the Community Hall on Friday, April 22.

It is believed that he was attacked by two robbers, who stabbed him to death and robbed him of his belongings. The RECORD previously reported on the danger of the footpath running from the Community Hall and the water reservoir, ending in Daimler Street next to Stoneridge Primary.

The path has high weeds on both sides, making it totally impossible to see anyone moving in or out. The overgrown path is the ideal prowling place for criminals.

It is alleged by residents in Daimler Street that when they saw the man stumbling and screaming down the foot path, they saw two young men running in the opposite direction.

One of the people who were assisting the dying man, Bennie Louw, said: “The man was bleeding a lot and everyone was trying to stop the bleeding. I phoned for an ambulance, but unfortunately the man died. I phoned telephone numbers found on a piece of paper and forms he was holding. His wife and family members arrived in an instant.”

The police are investigating a murder case, and ayone with information should contact constable Phala 011 439 1855.
