Blessing blankets for Silwerkroon
The Word was preached at Silwerkrron and everyone received a hand-made blessing blanket.
BLESSING blankets were distributed to the elderly at Silwerkroon, Phantom Street on April 29.
Pastor Jeanette Ferreira from AFM Revival City/AGS Herlewingstad, Brackenhurst opened the proceedings with scripture – 1 John 4:7: God is love.
The purpose of the event, according to Pastor Jeanette, was to show God’s love. “We are His hand and feet extended here on earth, and because of God’s love we are able to show God’s love as a visible gesture. It is so heart-warming to see the joy and happiness on all the faces,” said Jeanette.
Each blanket was individually made by hand with various colours and patterns for both men and woman to keep them warm for the winter period.
Snacks and drinks were provided and all enjoyed the event.
