Cable theft in Radio Road affects business

Cable theft affects business and the council needs to respond urgently to address the matter.

ALBERTON NORTH – Adrian van Zyl, a concerned employee of Erosion Technology, Radio Road discovered that cables had been stolen from the main box (sub-station) on March 31.

A general power outage had occurred on March 29 and by March 31, when the power was still off at Erosion, the rest of the neighbouring businesses had full power. That was when Adrian had established that the cables were stolen from the main unit.

The matter had been reported to both council and the metro and the matter remains a priority investigation. The owner of Erosion expressed his side of the story with detailed information about the sub-station, waiting for a response from EMM and the SAPS.
