WOW members say goodbye to member
At the March WOW (Women of Worth) meeting, members had to choose an unusual word or article which caught their eye and explain the meaning of it to the other members.
KIBLER PARK – New words were learnt and handy hints were also shared between the members, resulting in a fun morning.
On a sad note, members had to bid farewell to much loved member, Denise Nelson.
Denise has been of a member of WOW (previously Mondeor/Kibler Park National Women’s Register) for many years and was a dedicated and respected member of the group.
“It is with sadness we bid our friend Denise farewell. We wish you every happiness in your new venture and move to Natal,” said Hilda Theck, as she presented a basket of goodies from all the members, to Denise. “I’m going to miss you all so much. You have all become such wonderful friends to me and I’ll miss our monthly meetings too,” Denise said.
A cake had been baked as a farewell to Denise and as the ladies reminisced about the past, they all enjoyed tea and refreshments.
