Johann Herbst could be the next Mr SA

Johann is a vibrant 26 year old audit clerk who is hoping to win Mr SA for his community.

ALBERTON – Johann Herbst is one of the finalists for the Mr South Africa 2014 competition and is hoping to walk away with the prestigious title on December 12.

Johann is a vibrant 26-year-old audit clerk at Ernest and Young, now known as EY.

He is a motivated go-getter and he is currently working on his Masterā€™s Degree in Commerce. He will qualify as a CA (SA) in April 2015. He takes pride in his profession and aims to inspire and encourage his co-workers on a daily basis.

He aspires to inspire people through his ethical and enthusiastic approach to life. Johann will never waive his morals, values and integrity for the sake of fitting in or being popular.

Johann says, ā€œAll glory is to God for providing me with opportunities daily and blessing me with the strength to accept and excel in my job and my personal life.ā€

He believes that he was born to make a difference in peopleā€™s lives, even if it is only through encouraging them with a smile or extending a helping hand in times of need.

Johann is unique, as he is one of a set of in-vitro triplets (first in-vitro triplets in South Africa and second in the world)!

Johann believes that actions speak louder than words and that he can make a difference as an ambassador for South Africa.

ā€œI set high goals for myself, but at the same time Iā€™m a firm believer in a healthy and balanced lifestyle. I also believe that itā€™s important to stay grounded and my relationship with God is one of the most important aspects of my life,ā€ he says.

Johann has been part of modelling for a few years, and helped out with judging at Figures Models Alberton since he was 21 years old. He views Mr SA as an opportunity and platform to positively influence a great number of people.

John is involved with The J9 Foundation and also supports nature conservation.

The search for the new Mr South Africa 2014 officially kicked off on March 15, when the contestants gathered for the first workshop held in Pretoria.

The organisers have made it clear from the start that theyā€™re not looking for a mere male model but rather a model male.

As part of the second challenge, Johann is hosting an event called ā€œJohann Herbst and Friendsā€. It is a live entertainment show at NG Church Dinwiddie, Germiston on Friday April 4.

The event will start at 19:00 and tickets are R150 per person, which includes a light snack platter and something to drink.

All proceeds raised are in aid of charity and will be going to the Mr SA pageant and the J9 Foundation (Joost van der Westhuizen foundation).

He is asking for support to help him to make a difference. If there are any companies or individuals who would like to contribute sponsorships or donations please contact Johann 071 356 0220.
