Youth Crime Prevention desk needs you

Eden Park Youth Crime Prevention Desk is a forum substructure of the Community Police Forum (CPF) working hand in hand with the SAPS.

EDEN PARK – The main focus of Eden Park Youth Crime Prevention Desk is to prevent crime in the community by creating platforms like sports campaigns, drug awareness, leadership, school talks, school searches and also providing posts on the SAPS.

It is a social organisation with different types of stake holders like SANCA, Victim Empowerment Centre, Batho Pele etc. They have recently introduced a Facebook page giving the youth a social media platform page and access to Twitter.

On this page the youth and greater community will find information on crime-related issues, and it will serve as a platform for the youth to address relevant issues based on corruption and other criminal activities in the area.

The forum is encouraging the youth to take this opportunity, go and like the Facebook page, and become part of the solution.

For more information, contact Marvyn January 071 477 9033 or Eugene Kley 076 107 4703. Everyone between the ages of 18 and 35 is welcome to join and make a change in promoting safety in the community.
