CCA Manager has strong family values

Stephen Notwha is not only passionate about serving the community, but a man with strong family values.

ALBERTON – Stephen Notwha is an uptown family man who enjoys the outdoors and animals in game reserves and has been in the council industry for 10 years.

He matriculated in 1991, obtained a degree in political science and public administration at Unisa. Soon after he studied public management at Wits and is currently busy with his post graduate diploma for business administration at the Unisa School of Business Leadership.

In 2003 he was appointed as PA to the MMC of Sport and Arts and Culture. For the past five years he was CCA (Customer Care Area) manager in Daveyton and last year October he was reappointed as the CCA manager in Alberton, where he has signed a five year contract.

“I have an ambition for the private sector in NBA, I enjoy serving people and have spent more than 10 years working with the community,” said Stephen.

Stephen is married to Elizabeth Notwha and has a daughter, Tshego (5), who he hopes will become a doctor, following her goals she sets out for herself and is responsible.

The family spends lots of time together, shopping, going on holiday and having lunch in the garden. “Just being able to be in their company and spend time together is very important, eating together is also very valuable for a family,” said Stephen with a reassuring smile.

He enjoys reading, sports, jogging/running, participating in marathons (he has joined a club) and goes to the gym. Other than staying fit and healthy, Stephen volunteers at a policy development centre.

His favourite shopping centre is Eastgate, where he enjoys Ocean Basket and Cape Town Fish market as two of his restaurants of choice.

When asked what he would say to inspire the youth he said, “I encourage the youth to go to school and study, they are our future leaders and they should always reach their goals.

“Unleash your own talents and do what is good with your talents. Respect your parents and stay away from drug use and nyaope,” he ended.
