Tsotsi no more celebrating 48th birthday

Life@40'nBeyond, a social networking club, is organising a birthday party with a purpose, aiming to revive and uplift the spirit of another human being.

SOUTH OF JOHANNESBURG – Saturday 12 April, matured and like-minded people will be united to celebrate the 48th birthday of Joshua Nkomo, a criminal no more from New Eersterus-Hammanskraal in Pretoria.

Joshua Nkomo became a jail bird from the age 14 years and he stayed in jail for 28years 11 months. In his entire life he never celebrated his birthday. But now Joshua is a changed man, he even published his Biography Book, Tsotsi No More.

He helps parents who are experiencing problems with their children involved in nyaope and drugs, he mentors them by explaining about the danger of using drugs and that they might find themselves in jail too. This proves if a person is prepared to change from worse to better, surely that can happen.

At Life@40’nBeyond, they want to see him grow in faith and commitment to changes, by helping him to develop personal authenticity, character and wholeness.

They invite men and women age 40 and above to join on the day to celebrate his birthday in picnic format. “It is your chance to join a group of men and women who aspire to look and feel their best. It’s an opportunity to test yourself, search for the creativity that lives within in you, and find out just how far you can go. It’s your chance to find out who you really are and who you want to be for the best part of your life,” said Terry Mokoena, coordinator of this special event.

If you grew up listening and getting down to the likes of Gap Band, SOS Band, Soul II Soul, Womack and Womack, Barry White, Temptations, D-Train Williams, Shalamar, Skyy, etc… then, this is your kind of party!

People who would like to attend the party are required to bring own braai packs, camp chair and coolers! Braai stoves will be available and pap, gravy, salad and chakalaka will be served.

Return transport (bus) will be available at R160 per person, departure from Carlton Centre at 12 midday.  “We shall appreciate it if anyone out there can sponsor Joshua with a bedroom suite and TV set as presents,” added Terry.
