Tip-off leads to an arrest

Three groups of crime fighters, FOX SEcurity, CPS SEcurity and Brackendowns SAPS worked together to bring down three housebreaking criminals.

On Tuesday March 4, a client of the Community Protection Services Security from New Redruth, Alberton, tipped the protection service about a suspicious looking vehicle.

The vehicle that sped off, after it was approached by a reaction team, resulted in a high speed chase before the vehicle was subsequently pulled over between the Klipviver and Xavier off-ramp.

Three suspects were taken into custody by the Breackendowns Police due to various housebreaking implements which included a knife, hard hats, and overalls which are believed to have been used to pose as construction workers.

The suspects are also believed to have been involved in housebreakings two and three weeks prior to being caught in the Mondeor and Alberton areas as the vehicle and contents match descriptions from residents.

According to Brackendowns police the suspects were involved in about 10 to 15 housebreakings. These criminals always break in, steal and get away under three minutes.

The driver of the vehicle is also suspected to be a wanted suspect for various other crimes.

The suspects were charged with Possession of Housebreaking Implements, Possession of Dangerous Weapons, Reckless and Negligent Driving and Resisting Arrest.

CPS Security, Brackendowns SAPS and FOX Security all had done a profound job in catching these criminals.
