TWO women, who asked not to be named, were robbed on Saturday March 1 at 19:30 at a notorious shortcut on Opel Road. Four seemingly intoxicated young robbers popped out of the bushes, bashed their victims’ faces with bottles and took their cell phones and money.
“If we passed out while they were hitting our faces with the bottles, I am sure they would have raped us. We were loudly screaming but nobody came to our rescue. Although they seemed drunk or drugged, they quickly disappeared into the bushes after robbing us,” said one victim, who asked to remain anonymous.
