Those who missed out on an opportunity to vote still have an opportunity to register to vote at IEC offices.

ALBERTON – Although President Jacob Zuma announced May 7 as the election date last Friday, but he has not yet proclaimed the date, which means the Voters’ Roll is still open.

In a statement by the Presidency, “Voter registration will continue until the date of the official proclamation of the election by the President and the Premiers, towards the end of the month.”

Potential voters that missed the past weekend’s final voter registration can proceed to register at the Independent Electoral Commission (IEC) offices located in every municipality in South Africa.

Alberton residents can visit Alberton Customer Care Centre weekdays. The IEC offices are open during working hours on the third floor.
